Double Indemnity

This movie a nice introduction to Film Noir. I very much enjoyed knowing the result before the whole story was told as Walter narrarated his past actions to the viewer. Knowing that this type of movie deals much with darkness and shadows it was interesting to be looking for such lighting. Even the slightest bits of light were very recognizible in the darker scenes, somthing that gave the move more mystery. I also noticed that low angles were used frequently on Walter as if to make him look more powerful, as well as frequent high angles on Phillis. I believe this was done to show that since Walter commited the actual crime he was the one who would fall victim to a punishment later on. Double Indemnity was all in all a very good movie.
